Red Sox parade 2018: What we know so far about the World Series celebration

Duck Boat parade either October 30 or October 31

The Red Sox won their fourth World Series in 14 years on Sunday night, dispatching the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-1 in Game 5 to wrap things at four games to one.

That means that the City of Boston is gearing up for yet another Duck Boat-powered parade in honor of the Sox. So far, it looks like the parade will be either on Tuesday—tomorrow, October 30—or on the morning of Halloween the next day.

The parade is expected to start around 11 a.m., whatever the day. The exact route is still to be decided, but it is likely in and around downtown Boston.

The city hopes to announce specifics on Monday morning. Stay tuned.

Incidentally, the parade will be the 11th such celebratory one honoring a championship sports team here since 2002, what with all the Super Bowls and Stanley Cups too. The last for the Red Sox was in November 2013.
