“Hupps Mill Plaza has been in our family for 10 years now, and we don’t want to lose it,” said Justin Weisser, a Miami businessman who makes a living acquiring commercial properties across the United States.Hupps Mill Plaza, located at 2219 Wilborn Avenue in South Boston, will go up for auction at 2 p.m.

 

Friday, and Weisser says his outfit plans to be there, ready, willing and able to take back the foreclosed property at a fire sale price, an acquisition coup that would allow Weisser to regain ownership debt-free—“for less than the loan amount due.”

 

He hopes, with a waiver of the $100,000 cash deposit, attorneys with the firm of Venable, LLP in Tysons Corner have indicated the substitute trustee for the property wants to seal the deal.
